Upcoming Community Forums to meet the Head of School Candidates
Dear Mayfield Senior School community,
As we shared last week, we will be welcoming two final candidates for the Head of School position to campus for visits October 26-28 and November 1-3, 2022. Each candidate will meet with a variety of constituents: administrators, faculty, staff, students, alums, parents, past parents, trustees, past trustees and the extended community over three days. Through these visits, we hope our community will get a good sense of each candidate, and equally important, the candidates will get a good sense of our Mayfield Senior School community. Both the school and our finalists are trying to determine if we are a good “fit” for one another.
Mayfield Senior School faculty and staff will have a special forum with each candidate. Mayfield alums, current parents, past parents, grandparents and students will have the opportunity to ask questions of candidates and hear their responses in the Community Forums which are offered in person, but also shared remotely via Zoom:
- Finalist #1: Thursday, October 27, 6:00-7:30 p.m., in-person in Pike Auditorium (see email for Zoom remote option)
- Finalist #2: Wednesday, November 2, 6:00-7:30 p.m., in-person in Pike Auditorium (see email for Zoom remote option)
If you are able, we highly recommend you join us in person. Parking will be available on campus. Questions from the community will be collected in advance of the forums so as to ensure some consistency between candidates. If you have a specific question you would like to hear the candidates answer, please email the question to MSSHOSsearch@mayfieldsenior.org by Monday, October 24, 2022.
Several days before each forum, you will receive the candidate’s bio. Following the forums, we will ask you to provide feedback about each finalist via an electronic survey.
