Mayfield Merit Scholarships

The Mayfield Merit Scholarship is the highest award presented to an incoming Mayfield Senior School student. This award targets students who best embody the spirit of Holy Child philosophy, which is dedicated to enhancing the lives of others.

The Merit Scholarship Committee designates as many as six merit scholars for each incoming class. The award is renewable each year.

All ninth grade applicants are considered for Mayfield Senior School's merit scholarships, based on the following selection criteria:

  • Candidate must have a record of academic excellence in the 7th and 8th grades and be among the top 5% of Mayfield's applicant pool

  • Candidate must have maintained an A average in core classes (Math, ELA, History, Science)

  • Candidate must demonstrate a history of outstanding contributions to her school and community through leadership and service

Decisions are made by the Head of School and Admissions Committee and awardees are notified at the time of acceptance.

I love that Mayfield has so many resources for students both academically, athletically, and even recreationally. No matter what you choose to do in high school, Mayfield has a path for you, and I am excited to grow and learn so much more in the next four years.
