Message from the Alumnae Council President, Spring 2021

Greetings fellow Mayfield Alums,

I can’t believe the 2020-2021 school year is coming to a close! Over the past few weeks, we have been able to welcome students back to campus and it’s great to hear the students’ voices echo through the halls of Strub again. It has been an honor to serve as Alum Council President this past year and I look forward to continuing as President for the 2021-2022 year and working with all our wonderful alums through Alum Council!

I would like to give a special thank you to the alums who have been on campus and have helped make our hybrid learning such a success: Annalise Arboles ’13, Carina Benzinger ’12, Leah Carter ’08, Jocelyn Gaona ’15, Carolyn Lo Coco ’18, Sara Lydon ’19, Amanda Mar ’20, Claire McDermott ’08, Emily Monroe ’14, Julia Morreale ’15 and Lauren Romo ’15.

Due to the uncertainty of the past year, I had been wondering when we will be able to gather again in person. I’m so grateful that numbers are improving and that we will be able to host class reunions in the fall! Along with health officials, we encourage everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated so we can gather together again. It is the power of vaccines that is driving our low and stable case rates and reduced transmission.

Our final Alum Council meeting of the year will be on June 16 at 6 p.m. PST via Zoom and we welcome all alums to attend! Please contact Nicole Cosand Burcham, Director of Alum Engagement, for more information.

Please keep the following events/activities in mind and we hope to “see” you soon!
