Individual and Institutional Engagement Manager (full-time)

Mayfield Senior School has an opening for an Individual and Institutional Engagement Manager. This position is responsible for the growth and development of the school’s Annual Giving fundraising program through the engagement, solicitation and stewardship of individuals, foundations and corporations. Working closely with the Development team, the Individual and Institutional Engagement Manager ensures the stewardship, commitment, and involvement of current and past parents, grandparents, foundations, corporations and alumnae in the present and future of the school. She/he will also have an appreciation for Mayfield’s Catholic values and Holy Child mission, and a commitment to excellence, diversity, community, and service as expressed through the Holy Child Goals and Criteria

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Organize and implement a comprehensive Annual Giving program which includes the Mayfield Family of Funds 
  • Meet all fundraising goals for Annual Giving as established by the Finance Committee 
  • Conduct integrated fundraising campaigns, implementing best practices in face-to-face, direct mail and online solicitation strategies utilizing technology and multi-channel marketing 
  • Create and maintain the solicitation schedule; track and analyze results; communicate progress and produce financial and status reports 
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers, which include current and past parents, grandparents, and alumnae 
  • Communicate regularly with Co-Chairs regarding the progress of the Mayfield Family of Funds 
  • Oversee planning for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship events, including but not limited to: Annual Fund volunteer training, and phonathons, Advancement Dinners and 
  • Breakfasts, Grandparents & Special Friends’ Day, Benefit, leadership dinners and cocktail parties 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Alumnae Engagement on strategy, planning, and execution of alumnae fundraising initiatives including the Holy Child Scholarship Fund, Reunion Giving and two major Giving Days 
  • Utilize the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge database to qualify, segment and track donor prospects, and implement an active moves management program 
  • Welcome and cultivate incoming parents and grandparents (via ResearchPoint) 
  • Collaborate on all Annual Fund communications — printed and online — including solicitation and acknowledgment letters, brochures, and recognition publications 
  • Create online donation and registration portals, as needed through BoostMySchool 
  • Help ensure meaningful stewardship for donors, loyalty societies, planned gifts and other important friends of Mayfield Senior School 
  • Partner with Donor Database & Operations Associate to ensure accuracy of gift data entry and timely acknowledgment letters 
  • Coordinate one or two field trips per year for the Mayfield Guild (past parent organization) 
  • Help promote planned giving and complex requests to donors
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND QUALITIES
A passion for empowering young women in education is highly valued. While experience with or knowledge of all-girls independent school education would be a plus, applicants with a minimum of five years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience in other environments will also be considered strong candidates. Skill in using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s EdgeNXT is highly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing strategic engagement plans for donors while demonstrating care and meaningful stewardship. The Individual and Institutional Engagement Manager must exhibit exceptional oral, written and interpersonal skills and have a proven ability to interact and develop relationships with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, applying tact and discretion as situations demand. The ability to analytically evaluate, make adjustments and create annual plans will be essential. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team and take on assignments on the weekends and evenings, as required.
