Welcome New Head of School: Laura Farrell
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Laura Farrell as Mayfield's Head of School!
Laura is an authentic, empathetic, faith-filled leader who is passionate about all-girls education. She brings leadership qualities and a depth of experience that will carry the Mayfield Senior School community into the next era of our beloved school’s mission “to provide young women an intellectually empowering learning community of joy and belonging, where students enact their faith and love by transforming the world with their God-given gifts.”
As a lifelong Catholic, Laura’s faith plays a central role in her work and daily life. She fully embraces the mission of Holy Child schools, Cornelia Connelly’s spirituality and the "whole child" educational philosophy. We know our community will benefit from Laura’s leadership and vision.

Established in 1931, Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, CA is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women grades 9-12. Noted for its rigorous academic program, which includes 28 Advanced Placement and Honors courses, Mayfield’s curriculum is underscored by a philosophy of educating the “whole child,” which also encourages commitment to and excellence in the arts, athletics, community service and spiritual growth. The nurturing environment at Mayfield Senior School allows each student to flourish in an atmosphere of personal attention.
