Winter sports draw 100-plus athletes as we celebrate our remarkable fall sports teams

Our one and only scheduled athletic event this week takes place tomorrow when our Cross Country team, ranked #8 in Division 4 of CIF-SS, will compete in the CIF Prelims in Riverside. If the girls finish in the top seven of their race, they will have a chance to compete in next weekend's CIF Finals on the same course.
But just because we haven't had any games this week does not mean that it has been quiet in the gym! Our winter sports have kicked off practices this with 100-plus girls playing basketball, soccer, squash and water polo to prepare for the season. Winter sports games kick off next week with our varsity soccer game vs. Immaculate Heart on Tuesday at Occidental.

Full athletic schedules for the winter season are up on the school website as well as iMSS and maxpreps.com. And if you can't get out to a game, follow us @msscubs on Twitter. It’s a great way to get real-time score updates

Before we get too deep into the winter season, we will honor our fall sport athletes Wednesday night at our banquet. Please don't forget to RSVP by today. Also, if you have signed up to join the Booster Club, we will be distributing your membership gifts on Wednesday night, so please don't forget to pick them up. Please know it is not too late to join the Booster Club and support our wonderful student-athletes. Membership sign-ups will be taken at the banquet, but you can also sign up online 24 hours a day!

Finally, our biggest fundraiser of the year ends today! Please consider purchasing a freshly-cut, gorgeous Christmas tree
from the Booster Club. The deadline is today and your tree will be available for pick-up (or delivery for a nominal fee) on Saturday, December 8.

Once again, thank you for all of your generous support. I look forward to seeing you in the gym, on the pitch, or at the pool this season.

Go Cubs!
