It was a great year for Mayfield Athletics!
The 2022-2023 Athletics Calendar came to an end this week with four Cubs competing at the CIF Track Finals last weekend at Moorpark High School. Sade Falese '23, Liz Goethals '23, Sissy Page '25 and Leah Whitfield '26 all finished in the top-9 of their events and helped the Cubs finish 16th at the meet. The final athletic event of the year was this week's CIF Badminton Individual Championships at Arcadia High School. For the 1st time in school history, Mayfield sent four girls to compete in the event. Ella Bennett '25, Neci Dunn '25, Tracy Jiang '25 and Sadee Villalobos '25 competed with five boys from Loyola in the competition, performing very well overall. |
With four varsity league championships, six lower level league titles, three league MVP's and numerous 1st & 2nd team finishers, it was a great year for Mayfield athletics. We will take the time to honor our spring student-athletes at next week's sports banquet. Don't forget to register by the end of the day!
