Shout out to Steffi Zavaleta – dubbed the “Matron Saint of Activism” by her classmates in Women’s “Herstory.” Wherever life takes you next, I know you will keep using your voice to take a stand against injustices in society, whether they be related to environmental issues, immigration issues, or women’s issues. I will miss the energy and passion you brought to class discussions, and I will miss your outgoing, exuberant presence at Mayfield.

Little Sister Shout-Out
Steffi was one of the first people I met at Mayfield and her welcoming Mayfield spirit meant so much to me. She has continued to inspire me and has continued to make me feel at home at Mayfield this year. I know I'll miss her next year but I wish her the best in the next chapter of her life!
