We’re eager to see the impact they will have on our community and all that we’ll achieve together.

Angela Terrazas

Learning Specialist

Angela Terrazas joined the Mayfield Senior community in January, and her warmth and expertise will already be familiar to returning colleagues. As our newest Learning Specialist, Angela brings more than 18 years of experience in counseling, learning support, and special education. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University, and an M.S. in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne. She has previously served in roles including IEP Coordinator, Counselor, and Learning Specialist at schools across Los Angeles. A former Holy Child parent and advocate for all-girls education, she is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and fostering growth through compassion, equity, and individualized support.

Bryan Lynch

Director of Major Gifts

Bringing over 17 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and strategic partnerships, Bryan Lynch will serve as Mayfield Senior as our new Director of Major Gifts. A mission-driven leader, Bryan has secured major and principal gifts, stewarded donors, and supported philanthropy at USC Marshall School of Business and Mayfield Junior School.  Bryan holds a B.A. in English from the University of San Diego and is a proud alumnus of Loyola High School. He is excited to bring his leadership and advancement experience to our community.

Dr. Mabel Wong

Assistant Head of School

Dr. Mabel Wong joins Mayfield as Assistant Head of School, bringing over two decades of experience as a teacher, academic leader, and program innovator in both the U.S. and Singapore. Most recently, Mabel served as Head of the History & Social Science Department at Marlborough School, where she also founded and directed the Global Futures Institute—an interdisciplinary program empowering students to engage with global issues through inquiry and action. A passionate advocate for student-centered learning and faculty development, Mabel has led strategic initiatives in restorative practices, curriculum design, and community-building. Mabel holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University and is currently completing a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard. An alum of a Catholic girls’ school herself, Mabel is thrilled to join a mission-driven community that shares her commitment to education, equity, and ethical leadership.

Rocelyn Islas

Registrar and Assistant to the Assistant Head of School

With more than seven years of experience in academic administration, Rocelyn Islas steps into the role of Mayfield as Registrar and Assistant to the Assistant Head of School. Rocelyn has extensive experience in academic administration, most recently serving as a Department Coordinator at California State University, Los Angeles. Her professional background includes managing instructional schedules, maintaining student records, coordinating faculty evaluations, and supporting department leadership with discretion and precision. Rocelyn holds a B.A. in History from Cal Poly Pomona and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Cal State LA. Rocelyn is excited to contribute to Mayfield’s mission-driven community and support its commitment to student success.

Samya Faraj

Mathematics Instructor

Samya Faraj joins the Mayfield math department to teach Algebra II and Trigonometry and AP® Statistics. Samya recently earned her M.S. in Mathematics from Cal Poly Pomona, where she also served as a lecturer and graduate teaching associate. Her passion for math education is rooted in inclusive practices, real-world applications, and student collaboration. Samya brings experience working with high school and college students across Los Angeles, including first-generation college students and English learners and is excited to help students grow in mathematical literacy and confidence through a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Taylor Enright

Student Life Assistant

Taylor Enright will be supporting the Student Life team as Student Life Assistant. A recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Business Administration, Taylor brings extensive experience in student programming, athletics, and event coordination. While at LMU, she served as a Division I water polo athlete, Executive Vice President of The Mane Zone, and Social Media Manager for LMU Athletics, where she led campus engagement initiatives and game-day operations. Taylor is a proud alumna of Notre Dame High School, where she served as ASB Vice President and School Ambassador. She is excited to bring her leadership experience, energy, and commitment to Catholic education to the Mayfield community.
