As a Mayfield freshman, it's your time to shine

Ever wanted to swim? We are here to show you how to dive in! Want to dance? We will show you how to move! Does robotics sound intriguing? We are here to bring out your inner engineer. You can start a club, become a student leader and find your voice on our yearbook and newspaper.

Your Freshman Day at Mayfield

Our rotating block schedule is great for learning: four 80-minute classes each day and you never have the same subject two days in a row! Here’s what your week might look like:

  • Advisory

    Weekly meetings with your advisor and a dozen girls who will be your support group on everything from homework help, health questions and prom dresses.

  • Assembly

    Guest speakers, presentations, performances, student council elections and our famous twice-a-year talent shows.

  • Community

    A time for school-wide announcements, spirit games and lots of laughter.

  • Lunch

    We have student refrigerators, toasters and microwaves for everyone’s favorite break of the day!

  • Office Hours

    Our built-in study hall and your time to get one-on-one help from teachers, tutors and friends.

Established in 1931, Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, CA is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women grades 9-12.
