Ways to Visit

Campus Visits

Campus Visits are designed for 8th-grade students and their parents who want a closer, more personal look at daily life at Mayfield. Led by current students, these morning tours offer an authentic glimpse into our classrooms, campus spaces, and community.

Guests have the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus, meet teachers and students, and ask questions about academics, student life, and the transition to high school. For families seeking a deeper, firsthand experience of Mayfield, Campus Visits are an ideal next step.

Check back in the fall for registration details—the gates of 500 Bellefontaine will be open once again.

Explore the Arts at Mayfield

Explore the Arts at Mayfield is an engaging introduction to Mayfield for students who are curious about our creative and performing arts programs. Designed for girls in grades 5–8, this experience offers a hands-on look at how the arts are woven into daily life at Mayfield.

Participants explore a variety of disciplines—including creative writing, dance, visual arts, and vocal performance—while connecting with our faculty and students. The day also includes a chance to meet the cast, crew, and directors of Mayfield’s fall production, giving families insight into our collaborative, student-centered arts community.

Athletic Afternoons

Athletic Afternoons offer prospective students in grades 7–8 an inside look at Mayfield athletics and student leadership. This experience is ideal for students who are curious about competing at the high school level, building teamwork, and being part of a spirited, supportive community.

Guests spend time with members of our Athletic Leadership Council, connect with current student-athletes and Athletics Department staff, and experience the energy that defines Mayfield sports. Through conversation, shared activities, and time in the gym, students get a sense of how athletics play a meaningful role in student life—on and off the court.

Shadow Visits

Shadow Visits are an important and exciting part of the admissions process for students who have completed their application. Scheduled during the interview phase, this experience invites applicants to step into the day-to-day life of a Mayfield student.

Paired with a current student, applicants spend the day attending classes, joining assemblies, sharing lunch, and moving through campus together. It is a great opportunity to experience our community, the energy of our classrooms, and the relationships that shape life at Mayfield—offering a meaningful glimpse of what it feels like to belong here.
