This Euclidean geometry course emphasises developing logical reasoning and analytical skills. Topics include proofs, coordinate geometry, congruency, similarity, polygons, circles, parallel lines, areas, volumes, and right triangle trigonometry. Review of Algebra I concepts and standardized test practice are integrated into this course. Students also work on special projects. A TI-84 PlusTM calculator is required. 

Advanced Geometry is designed for students whose long-term math plan includes AP® Calculus. Students who enroll in summer Advanced Geometry have the intention of taking Honors Algebra II and Trigonometry to advance in math. A general introduction to the biological sciences, this course discusses cellular biochemistry, genetics, evolution, mammalian physiology and classification. Biology is taught using a combination of multimedia lessons, instructional videos, and student-centered activities. Instructional time will include hands-on laboratory work with an emphasis on inquiry-based investigations. Applications of technology and data analysis are included, as well as the consideration of human impact on biological systems.

Chemistry is the study of the structure and composition of matter that makes up our environment and the changes it undergoes. Topics include scientific measurement, atomic theory, organization of the periodic table, chemical bonding and reactions, the mole and stoichiometry, solutions, gas laws, and acids/bases. The course is taught using multiple methods including in-class discussion and lectures, instructional videos, simulations, and student-centered activities. The laboratory is an integral part of the course which provides students with a hands-on experience of concepts discussed in class and includes inquiry-based experiments. Students learn to analyze data and construct evidence-based conclusions.

This course aims to meet the wants of the Information Age and enrich students’ understanding of the modern world by relating abstract concepts of data with the ways we experience it everyday. As our daily lives revolve more and more around computer interaction, it is increasingly more important to understand how computer use shapes the world around us and how computers shape our lives in return.

This course is for any student interested in learning more about computer science; those who want to expand their knowledge and those who are professionally minded. Students learn about the basic building blocks of modern computers and the systems that evolved around them. Topics include binary numbers, computer components, internet routing, search engines, the internet of things, big data, open standards, and more! Students will also explore the impact of computing innovations, from their ethical implications to the effects they have on communities across the world. This course implements project based learning and hands-on activities to give students an immersive experience and promote responsible and effective computing practices.

This course is a survey of the history of the United States from the earliest explorations of the continent to the present. Students will evaluate how major historical events have affected various segments of our society. These events include the American Revolution, Westward Movement, the Civil War, slavery, the immigrant experience, various reform movements, industrialization, World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, and the Vietnam War.
