Academic Programs

In the spirit of “Actions Not Words,” Mayfield students learn by doing. They embrace learning with joy, and they dive headfirst into new subjects and activities with gusto, knowing they'll find the support they need.

Our Catholic, Holy Child philosophy calls us to rigorously educate each student with values-based learning that promotes independent thinking and strong written, verbal and analytical skills that are so needed in today’s technology driven world. Our teachers are enthusiastic and make learning at Mayfield Senior School interactive, productive, and fun.

Learn from classes that are conversations, not lectures

The Mayfield Senior School experience is characterized by personal attention. Our teachers take advantage of small class sizes to tailor their teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of learning styles. They also create classroom settings that foster discussion, collaboration and cooperation—proven ways in which young women learn best. With an average class size of 17, students have immediate access to their teachers, both inside and outside the classroom.

Mayfield excellence begins with our excellent teachers

Mayfield Senior School takes great pride in its outstanding faculty—a highly qualified team of passionate educators who teach with dedication, humor and understanding. Each member of our faculty embraces the Holy Child philosophy of mutual respect. Teachers recognize each student for her special qualities, her unique talents and her potential as a young woman.

It’s not enough for Mayfield teachers to be highly qualified and excellent. As Holy Child educators they embrace a philosophy of mutual respect and teach with passion and understanding. Teachers recognize each student for her special qualities, her unique talents and her potential as a young woman.
