Personal Counseling
Our Director of Guidance is available if you wish to talk about your personal concerns. The counselor works with students experiencing difficulties, assesses and evaluates students at risk and at times does crisis counseling. In tandem with the faculty, the Director of Guidance coordinates help for students with special educational needs.

If a student is struggling personally or academically, the Student Support Team, the student’s advisor, and appropriate faculty members work together to develop a plan of action that often involves a family conference. If longer-term personal or family counseling is needed, families are referred to outside counseling agencies or therapists.

Human Development
Subjects such as nutrition, health and wellness, substance abuse prevention, time management, relationships, and self-defense are addressed, both within the curriculum and during assemblies with guest speakers who are experts in their fields.

Cornelia Connelly’s mandate “to meet the wants of the age” challenges Holy Child educators today to seek a deeper, keener understanding of gender studies with its application to young women’s inner and outer lives.

The Director of Women’s Research attends to this pertinent area, meeting and working with students, faculty and parents.
