Our Mission Statement: To enhance the athletic program by supporting Mayfield’s sporting events and participating in school-sponsored Booster Club fundraising activities.
Welcome to the Mayfield Big Red Booster Club! The Booster Club is comprised of parents, faculty, staff, alumnae and friends who support Mayfield Senior School’s athletic program. A strong athletic program is integral to the spirit and character of Mayfield Senior School. We continue to need your help to support school athletic initiatives and encourage our deserving athletes.
The Booster Club board meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Sister Mary Wilfrid Gymnasium, and are open to all Booster Club members who are interested in volunteering their time. We hope you will come and join us. In the 2013-14 school year, the Booster Club raised over $20,000 through membership donations, sales of Cub merchandise, Christmas tree and wreath sales, and the Dads’ Card and Moms’ Bunko “Night Out” events. Through the generous contributions of our members, the Booster Club was able to support our school athletic programs by contributing funds for ongoing coaches education, medical equipment for our athletic training facility, gym cleaning equipment, new tennis court screens, team uniforms, as well as needed gear for various sports and freshman physical education programs. In past years, the Booster Club has been able to contribute to the acquisition of new high-tech scoreboards and shot clocks, as well as updating training equipment for the weight room.
Your contributions are very important because they assist the school in fulfilling its objective to develop and sustain an excellent athletic program at Mayfield Senior School. Our goals for 2014-15 include replacing the worn wall-mounted padding in the gym, purchasing new volleyball net standards, creating a Hall of Fame foyer, and improving our digital aids for all sports. In addition, the Booster Club continues to support a water purification system for the gym and the ImPACT
software program. (ImPACT provides computerized neurocognitive assessment tools and services that are used by doctors to assist them in determining an athlete’s ability to return to play after suffering a concussion).
Please check the Athletics section of the website regularly to find the Booster Club’s upcoming events and meeting dates, as well as all the sports schedules, scores and directions to games. You can also download the Booster Club membership form and shop the online Cubs Corner store and the Christmas Tree store.
We look forward to seeing you in the gym, by the field, court, or pool, and at the many Booster Club events throughout the year. Come out and support our teams!
