The Collection
Mayfield Senior School's Library is housed in the William R. and Virginia Hayden Building, built in 1989. The collection contains more than 11,000 books, thirty current periodical subscriptions, and additional archived periodicals. Special collections include the Margaret Murphy Bernard '80 Collection of Women's Studies (established in her memory by her classmates) and the Julia Marlowe Boyes Collection for Speech, Drama and Performing Arts (established by Dr. Joseph Boyes in honor of his wife). The Mayfield Guild, our past parents association, plays a vital role in supporting the Library by raising funds each year to augment the collection.
